Brin Levinson
Brin Levinson is a Portland, Oregon based painter creating artwork for gallery exhibitions and imagery for album covers, movie posters, book and magazine publications and concept art.
An unfinished dream is something you can become obsessed with. I create imagery that tells part of a story, like a dream or brief moment in history. My current artwork is largely inspired by industrial areas, architecture and the strange beauty that I see all around. Nostalgia and deja vu are underlying tones of my paintings. I attempt to create an atmosphere of calm after the storm, hope and re-birth.
My grandmother, Dagmar Wilson, was a landscape painter in Loudoun County, Virginia. Being surrounded by her work has influenced my vision, especially my paintings of buildings and cityscapes.
My current works are acrylic and oil paintings on masonite and canvas that can be seen in galleries, art venues and events in Portland, the Northwest, and California.
