Brian Cameron
Brian Cameron was born and still lives on the northwest coast of Oregon where he is fortunate enough to have a
home and studio on 4 acres of oceanfront dunes just south of the mouth of the Columbia river. This incredible
setting with its vast open skies, long, horizontal oceanscapes, everchanging fields of grasses dotted with
flowers and constant parade of wildlife, offers endless inspiration for an artist.
Self taught, he is an accomplished woodworker and sculptor with his pieces found in the collections of art
lovers and even some celebrities throughout the United States. His paintings and woodcuts have also made
their way into collections far beyond the Northwest.
He has exhibited in both solo and juried group shows in the Triad Gallery in Newport, the Beppu Gallery in
Pacific City, the Cannon Beach Arts Association Gallery in Cannon Beach, the Riversea Gallery in Astoria
and the Blue Pear in Portland's Pearl district . His work has also been featured in Coastal Living magazine,
Open Spaces magazine and on Portland's PDXPOSED television program.
In 2005 he was commissioned to illustrate 'Encounters With Small Creatures By The Sea' written by Phyllis
Knutson PHD and has written and illustrated a children's book ' What Woofie Wants'.
Brian has a wife, four children, a dog, a cat, wild rabbits and a good sense of humor!
